Born in 1901, Marshall was known for sketching anything, and became a prominent advertising illustrator, creating a strong relationship with Condé Nast and sketching for both Vogue in London and Paris. He sketched street scenes, at the ballet, and of beautiful women. Mostly drawn in black and white, Marshall’s drawings are striking, detailed and full of life.
