Earlier today I had the pleasure of receiving  a cheque for £125 from the 1st Strensall Guides. The girls had taken part in a number of fundraising activities in order to raise money for their summer camp and also for us at Oxfam.

Often in my job I am overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community and this was one of these occasions. The girls decided that they would like the money to be spent on specific projects through the Oxfam Unwrapped scheme. The funds raised will go towards ‘Care for mums’; ‘Educate a child’; ‘Teach a Teacher’ and ‘Plant an Allotment’. More details on Oxfam Unwrapped can be found below:
